Betadine ® is incompatible with other antiseptic agents, especially those containing alkalis, enzymes and mercury. Use undiluted for general disinfection and hygienic disinfection of the hands. Betadine solution stains can be removed from the clothes by washing with hot water, and for persistent use a sodium thiosulphate solution. Betadine solution is applied either as such or as a dilution of 10% or 1%, depending on the indication and the area to which it is applied.
